Spanberger Pledges to Lower Costs with Affordable Virginia Plan
From Cost Coalition advisers Terry Holt, a Republican, and Andrew Bates, a Democrat:
“For Virginia families concerned with rising cost of living, the choice in the November election is clear: Abigail Spanberger is a proven leader that is committed to fighting to lower costs. Spanberger put Virginia’s working families first by opposing the Trump Administration’s tariffs that are raising prices and worsening inflation. She also opposed the ‘One, Big Beautiful Bill’ that made the biggest health care cuts in history in order to lower taxes for the rich. Spanberger’s opponent praises that law even though it’s already hurting Virginia hospitals and adding trillions to our debt. Spanberger’s leadership is proven not only by her having the backbone to resist cost-raising policies, but by taking the initiative to drive costs down with her Affordable Virginia Plan. Building more housing, cutting healthcare costs, and investing in clean energy and weatherization are solutions that Democrats, Republicans, and Independents can get behind. With Washington’s tariffs, tax cuts for the rich, and chaos making everyday life unaffordable, Virginia voters have an opportunity to send a message that there is a better way by electing a governor committed to lowering costs and making Virginia an even better place to do business and raise a family.”
Launched in April, the bipartisan Cost Coalition is laser focused on restoring the American Dream by making life more affordable. Our Coalition is committed to supporting policies and leaders that are committed to fighting to lower prices and invest in solutions that will make everyday life more affordable.
