Bipartisan Cost Coalition: Trump’s Corrupt Attack on the Federal Reserve is Already Raising Prices for Families

Cost Coalition Advisers Terry Holt, a Republican, and Andrew Bates, a Democrat, released the following statement on President Trump’s illegal attempt to fire Federal Reserve Member Lisa Cook:

“High prices are already the top priority for the hardworking families who are feeling the growing weight of tariffs, a skyrocketing national debt, and Trump’s instability every time they go to the grocery store. But this illegal power grab pours even more gasoline on the cost crisis Washington Republicans promised to solve. Trump wants to take America’s central bank over to pave the way for the inflation he’s triggering with tax giveaways to billionaires. Already, this corrupt act made Americans poorer by weakening the dollar. Every time Trump breaks the law to gain more control over the economy, working families hurt more and the whole economy suffers.”
